Sweet nothings….Felt Fortune Cookies for Valentines Day

A modern love token. A fortune. A kiss. A little handmade love.

Materials:

Felt in your favorite love-inspired colors

Scissors

Needle and thread or fabric glue

White or cream paper for fortunes

Pen or printer

Hershey’s Kisses

From felt, cut 4-inch circles—one for each fortune cookie. A glass or jar lid makes an easy template.

Fold each circle in half to form a soft half-moon shape.

Using either a few simple stitches or a thin line of fabric glue, secure the folded edge, leaving about a 1-inch opening at each end.

Write or print a love note or fortune on sturdy paper. Cut into narrow strips and gently curve the paper so it peeks out nicely.

Slide the fortune into the felt cookie. If using chocolates, tuck a Hershey’s Kiss into each open end.

Gently pinch the center of the cookie, folding it inward to create the classic fortune cookie curve.

Add one or two small stitches - or a discreet dot of glue- at the top of the pinch to secure.

Allow glue to dry fully if used. Arrange in a pile, gift individually, or scatter on a table for a sweet surprise.
