Sunday Supper: October

SUNDAY SUPPER: FALL IS SERVED

This month’s Sunday Supper is exactly the kind of meal I want when the weather starts to turn. It’s warm, comforting and special enough to invite people over, without spending your entire Sunday in the kitchen.

On the menu:

Air-Fryer Dijon-Herb Pork Chops
Baked Sweet Potatoes with Smoked Paprika Butter
Roasted Brussels Sprouts
Slow-Cooker Braised Red Cabbage with Apples
Slow-Cooker Cinnamon Applesauce
Best-Ever Brownies with Vanilla Ice Cream

I’ve worked out the timing for you so much of the meal can be made ahead. Make the cabbage and brownies on Saturday, get the applesauce going on Sunday, let the sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts share the oven, and cook the pork chops at the last minute.

Because Sunday Supper should feel like Sunday, not a catering job.
