Marjorie’s Bourbon Slush

What’s better than a bourbon slush? Not much that I can think of. And from an entertaining standpoint, it checks all the boxes: it’s make ahead and it tastes great! Thanks to my former neighbor Marjorie for sharing her recipe all those years ago!

Marjorie’s Bourbon Slush

Serves 16-20

Note: Bourbon Slush can be made a day ahead. Cover and freeze; add 7-Up when ready to serve.

12 ounces frozen orange juice concentrate

6 ounces frozen lemon juice concentrate

½-1 cup sugar, or to taste

2 cups brewed tea

1 ½ cups bourbon

6 cups water

7-Up to taste

Mint or Maraschino cherries to garnish

Mix and freeze in a large shallow glass pan.  Scrape into glasses; add 7-Up to taste. Top with a sprig of mint or a maraschino cherry- or both!
