The holidays are a time when family and friends gather to celebrate the season. Why not add a little extra holiday sparkle to your table? You can do it in 4 simple steps:
1. Punch up the color: Determine your holiday color palette with a spin of the wheel! “Tilt” one direction or another on the color wheel to take your table from modern to traditional. Instead of the classic bright green and red, think fresh contemporary with fuchsia and apple green, or classically elegant with burgundy and hunter green. From wrapping paper to holiday decor, use your signature colors throughout the holidays.
2. Add a little life: Whether it’s boughs of winter greenery or leafy poinsettias, the natural texture adds life to your table. Tie sprigs of fresh rosemary with holiday ribbons (tied in your new signature holiday colors) around napkins for instant, aromatic napkin rings.
3. Let it glow: Candle light makes a table look warm and welcoming. Using your color scheme, create a simple centerpiece of holiday ornaments nestled in greenery down the center of the table. Place candles in glass votives throughout the arrangement for a warm, holiday glow.
4. Give a little: Small favor boxes filled with tiny treats at each person’s place makes a sweet memento for family and friends. Tie them with ribbons that compliment your holiday scheme. Looking for what to put inside? How about Triple Peanut Fudge made with Jif Peanut Butter, peanut butter chips and dry roasted peanuts. Your guests can take their treats home, but chances are good these treats won’t make it that long!
