Gold Star Chili Holiday Pine Cone Dip
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 50 minutes
I like to make small versions of party foods such as dip so that it stays looking great for the entire party. Making this dip into 6 pinecones ensures that I can replenish with fresh and appetizing dips all night long. Since they freeze well, the little pine cones make a great hostess gift or holiday treat for your neighbors and friends.
Directions
Combine ingredients by hand or in the bowl of a mixer on low speed. Use a large scoop or measuring cup to portion into 6 balls.
Chill 30 minutes. Working with one at a time, gently shape the mixture into a pine cone shape.
Starting at the bottom, insert sliced almonds to create the look of a pine cone.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Note: To freeze: Prepare up to adding sliced almonds. Thaw slightly before adding almonds; serve.
