Krstyna Castella is the author of Booze Cakes and she says you can make any cake a booze cake with these simple steps:
Replace some (but not too much) of the vanilla, orange juice and other liquids with booze.
Think about drink flavors. An Orange cake becomes a Screwdriver Cake or an Almond Amaretto Cake.
Add alcohol after the baking process to a Sponge cake but add alcohol before the baking process to Pound cake .

Rum cakes look great made in mini bundts or mini loaves
Throw a booze cake party with a good assortment of cakes:
Wine tasting cakes- merlot chocolate, chardonnay anise
