It was so cool to speak with Paul Draper from Ridge Vineyards.  Pictured with his winemaking team, Paul is second from the left in the photo above. An award winning winemaker with a host of career achievements,including Winemaker of the Year, Paul was so down to earth and practical in his comments, and advice,  about wine. Have you seen the movie Bottle Shock? Click here to see the trailer. It’s about the Judgement in Paris in which California wines beat out French wines. A fluke? There was a rematch 30 years later. Called “The Tasting that Changed the Wine World: ‘The Judgment of Paris’ 30th Anniversary”,  the California wines won again!  I loved hearing about these events from one of “the players”.
