Dr. Jen Sacheck joined me on Amy’s Table to discuss Thinner This Year, the highly anticipated follow up to her New York Times bestseller, Younger Next Year. Dr, Sacheck states that it’s a lifestyle book, not just a diet book!! Exercise becomes the “flywheel” and focal point of life. And “dead foods” must be put to rest forever!
She shared “Jen’s Rules” for getting Thinner this Year:
Make up your mind: Set your goal and go for it.
Exercise for forty-five to sixty minutes a day, six days a week, for the rest of your life.
Eat less and be mindful.
Don’t eat Dead Food.
Eat plenty of produce—half your diet should be fruits and vegetables.
Eat healthy fats in moderation and avoid saturated and trans fats.
Eat less meat and make it lean.
Don’t drink your calories.
Don’t skip meals.
Embrace change—in your new body and health.
