There are three in your marriage: You, your spouse and your relationship
I believe continual learning is key to a rewarding life. When it comes to relationships, we can all learn a thing or two. As a marriage counselor, Sharyn Wolf learned to be a better therapist after going through the demise of her own marriage. Sharyn shared something thought-provoking while I was interviewing her: she suggested we think of our relationship in 3’s: What do I need? What does my partner need? What does the relationship need? If you and your partner can agree to put the relationship first, it ends power struggles and instead puts you in a united position. I guess from now on couples should make their dinner reservations for “three”.
