Spontaneous Happiness with Dr. Andrew Weil
I can’t tell you how pleased I was to get a chance to speak with Dr. Andrew Weil. I really respect him. He’s known as “the Father of Integrative Medicine” and Time Magazine named him as one of the Top 100 Most Influential People of 2006. Dr.Weil is the founder and program director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine and the author of many bestselling books, including Spontaneous Healing, 8 Weeks to Optimum Health, and others. He joined me to talk about the epidemic of depression and his latest book , Spontaneous Happiness.
Dr. Weil suggest that we can learn to influence our mood through natural, healthy means; improve our physical and mental health; sleep better; connect with others; and achieve balance and serenity.
Dr. Weil talked about the critical importance of exercise, prescription drugs and natural remedies for depression and anxiety plus the surprisingly powerful effects that pets and nature can have on how we feel.
