Laine Steelman & the Bellevue Farmers Market at The Party Source
Laine Steelman is one of the founders and the manager of the Bellevue Farmers’ Market at The Party Source. His goal is to connect the consumer to local producers and the wholesome foods they grow and produce, thereby supporting the local economy.
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Laine learned what good food means. One of his first experiences more than a decade ago was working at the farmers’ market in downtown San Francisco. After working in professional kitchens for 10 years he travelled to Northwestern Italy to study gastronomy (the science and art of eating well) at the University founded by the Slowfood movement.
Slowfood is about taking time out of your busy day to actually stop and think about the food you eat, and creating food systems that are ‘good, clean and fair.’
The New Bellevue Farmers’ Market will be held in the parking lot in front of The Party Source…
? Saturdays 8am-1pm starting April 23
