Easy ideas for Vases
I’m on this “clear out the clutter” kick and each trip to Goodwill feels wonderful to me. Over the years I’ve collected a lot of vases and have decided that, save a few that hold sentimental attachments, I’m getting rid of all but the clear glass ones, and even then I’m ditching the fish bowl and hour glass shapes. Here are the vases I’ve decided to keep and a trick or two for each:
Straight narrow bud vases: drop in a single stem and you’re all set. I have 16 of one shape and also cluster several of them, each with a single stem, for instant drama.
Cylinders of varying sizes: They look great alone or massed, filled with flowers or filled wifth flower alternatives like rocks, sand, candles, lemons- even coffee beans.
Squares of varying sizes: Same as above. And both squares and cylinders are gorgeous with a large leave wrapped around the outside and tied with ribbon or twine.
