Are you wearing the wrong bra? Probably.
Jene Luciani is a trusted source and a “go to gal” for all things fashion. She can be seen regularly doling out fashion advice on television, in magazines and online. She’s the author of The Bra Book: The Fashion Formula for Finding the Perfect Bra.
Jene says most of us are wearing the wrong bra. Here’s how to determine your correct bra size. Using a soft (sewing) tape measure, measure around your body under your breasts. That’s your band size. Now measure across the fullest part of your breast (across the nipples). For every inch of difference in those measurements, add a cup size. For example, 34/35 is a 34A. 34/35 is a 34B. 34/36 is a 34C. How easy is that? Make sure to try on lots of different styles and brands and then buy a bra that fits best on the middle hook so that if you put on a little weight you can loosen by one. If you lose a little weight, you can tighten it.
Jene says most women err on the size of too large on the band size and too small on the cup. It seems we women think that a D -cup is only for Pamela Anderson!
She suggest there are seven bras every woman should have:
1. Strapless
2. Spa (meaning comfortable)
3. Specialty
4. Sport
5-7 Sexy (demi-cup, sheer or lacy)
