365 Thank Yous
I honestly believe that what you see is what you get. If you see your life as one difficulty after another, that’s precisely what you’ll get. If you see your life as one blessing after another, then that’s precisely what you’ll get. In other words, if you change the way you look at things, what you look at changes. We can choose to look closely at the abundant joys that surround us every day.
That’s what 365 Thank Yous author John Kralik did on a New Year’s Day when his life was at an all -time depressing low. He had an epiphany: he would be grateful for even the smallest, most insignificant things in his life and he would write out his thanks each and every day for 365 days. His experiment is now his memoir, 365 Thank Yous: The Year a Simple Act of Daily Gratitude Changed my Life.
